So I’m now officially west coast in San Diego, CA for the time being. While I’m here, might as well enjoy the hills and mild climate for some good running. (I may even do a short post about the road trip.)
I really enjoy the area I’m in because I have access to the Trans County Trail, which runs for a good number of miles. Yesterday I did an 8 miler and barely scratched the distances available to me. Locals have also been telling me about a variety of close loop trails on a few different hills and mountains that are considered good for hiking and running too.
The best part is that this training—while still a bit slow—is awesome in preparation for the Marine Corps Marathon. I’m told the first 8 miles are very hilly, so this can only be great training for me.
